Bimmer-Tool enables BMW owners to read and reset diagnostic trouble codes, initiate DPF regeneration processes, monitor live engine data, and perform various other diagnostic functions.

Connection Requirements

For vehicles manufactured before 2008, functionality may be limited - we recommend using a K+DCAN USB cable connection. Wireless ELM adapter connections may not be possible or fully functional with these older models.

Important: For optimal performance, use one of these recommended OBD2 adapters:

Quick Start Guide

1. Connect adapter to OBD2 port (typically under dashboard)
2. Switch ignition to ON position
3. Establish connection:
   • USB: Connect via OTG cable
   • Bluetooth: Pair adapter (PIN usually 0000/1234)
   • WiFi: Disable mobile data first
4. Launch app and select vehicle details
5. Choose connection settings
6. Tap "Connect" to establish communication

Troubleshooting Common Issues

• No response errors: Try enabling ATWM in advanced settings
• Connection failures: Force-stop diagnostic apps and retry
• Older models (pre-2008): K+DCAN cable required
