With a new Metal Gear Solid game on the horizon, it seems fitting that it's Snake's year! Hayter will reprise his role in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remake.

Konami themselves acknowledged this coincidence with a New Year's greeting video featuring Taiko drummers and a calligraphy artist writing the kanji for "snake," culminating in a bold "SNAKE YEAR" declaration.

Since its May 2024 announcement, along with a trailer and Tokyo Game Show demo, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has been relatively quiet. However, producer Noriaki Okamura recently told 4Gamer that delivering a high-quality, polished game in 2025 is a primary goal and a significant challenge.

Launching sometime in 2025 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater remakes the 2004 classic Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. Expect next-gen enhancements, including the return of Phantom Pain mechanics, updated voice acting, and new dialogue from the original voice cast.
