Annapurna Interactive's Recent Mass Resignation: Impact on Game Development
Annapurna Interactive recently experienced a significant staff exodus, raising concerns about the future of its projects. However, several high-profile titles appear unaffected.
Control 2 and Other Games Remain on Track
Despite the upheaval, some developers have confirmed their projects remain on schedule. Remedy Entertainment, for instance, clarified that their agreement for Control 2, including associated rights, is with Annapurna Pictures, and that Remedy is self-publishing, ensuring continued development. Similarly, Davey Wreden (The Stanley Parable) and Team Ivy Road have reassured fans that Wanderstop development is progressing without interruption. Matt Newell's Lushfoil Photography Sim, nearing completion, also seems unaffected, though the team acknowledges the loss of collaboration with Annapurna Interactive. Beethoven & Dinosaur also confirmed their Mixtape project continues as planned.
