Hirabami presents a surprisingly tough challenge in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. Unlike solitary monsters, these creatures prefer the company of their own kind, significantly increasing the fight's difficulty. Your best bet? Large Dung Pods. These disperse the Hirabami, allowing you to tackle them one at a time.
Hirabami's aerial acrobatics can make for a frustrating fight, especially for melee users. Heavy Slicing Pod Slinger ammo is your answer. These projectiles can knock them out of the sky. If you're short on ammo, severing the Hirabami's tail yields a Tail Claw Shard, which can be crafted into more.
The Iceshard Cliffs arena offers several environmental hazards to your advantage. Ice Spikes, Floating Rubble, and Brittle Ice Pillars can be triggered to stun and damage the Hirabami, creating crucial openings.
The head remains the primary target, though its airborne habits make it tricky for melee fighters. Ranged weapons have a clear advantage here. For melee users, focus on attacking the neck when the creature descends.
Hirabami's unpredictable attacks—bites, spits, and devastating dive attacks—require constant awareness. While dodging these, remember its tail acts as a powerful weapon. Keep a safe distance to avoid being smashed.

To capture Hirabami, reduce its health to 20% or less (indicated by a skull icon on the minimap). Quickly set a Pitfall or Shock Trap, then use a Tranquilizer before it escapes. While capturing offers a guaranteed reward, it reduces your chances of obtaining extra materials from hitting weak points.
Mastering the Hirabami hunt requires strategy and preparation. Remember to use Large Dung Pods or the SOS feature for assistance. Good luck, hunter!
