Black Ops 6 is bringing back two beloved classics just days after launch, alongside addressing player-reported issues through its recent update.
"Launch was just the start. Tomorrow, the Infected arrive. Nuketown follows on Friday. Get ready," tweeted Treyarch, confirming the imminent addition of these fan-favorite features to Black Ops 6. The game debuted last week on October 25 with 11 multiplayer modes, including Hardcore variants and scorestreak-free options.
The Infected mode launches first, pitting players against zombie-controlled opponents in a survival challenge. Nuketown, the iconic 1950s-inspired nuclear test site map from the original Black Ops (2010), joins the rotation on November 1.
The first major update rolled out over the weekend, improving XP rates in Team Deathmatch, Control, Search & Destroy, and Gunfight while fixing various issues. Activision stated they're continuously monitoring progression systems across all game modes.
Developers Treyarch and Raven Software acknowledge remaining issues like the Search & Destroy loadout bug, with solutions planned for future updates. Despite these launch-week challenges, Black Ops 6 delivers one of the strongest Call of Duty experiences in years, featuring an engaging campaign alongside its multiplayer offerings.
