Cato's Butter Battle: Platformer Puzzle to Feature Toast-Loving Cat

A charming new game, Cato: Buttered Cat, is poised for an Android release. The name itself is a playful combination of "cat" and "toast," perfectly reflecting the game's quirky premise. Ever wondered what happens when you attach buttered toast to a cat's back? The developers of Cato: Buttered Cat did, and the result is a perpetually spinning, gravity-defying feline spectacle!

Initially conceived as an entry for the 2022 BOOOM Gamejam, Cato: Buttered Cat, developed by Team Woll, garnered such positive reception that a full game release followed. Currently available on Steam for PC, the Android version is on its way. While the Google Play Store listing isn't yet live, pre-registration is open on the official TapTap page.

This puzzle platformer challenges players to control both a cat and a slice of buttered toast. The duo collaborates to solve puzzles, overcome enemies, and explore five whimsical worlds across 200 levels (including side quests). A captivating narrative unfolds through fragments scattered throughout the gameplay, and players can customize their cat with 30 unique outfits.

The unique dynamic between the cat and toast is a key element. The agile cat can climb and run, while the toast functions as a controllable projectile, enabling the cat to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. Hidden rooms and Easter eggs add to the game's replayability.
