How to Become a Shinigami in Hollow Era

Initially, you begin as a Soul Spirit. To become a Shinigami, accept the first quest offered by the NPC, Hurt Shinigami. This choice is irreversible; you cannot switch to the Hollow path unless you later become a Visored. If you prefer the Hollow path, please refer to our Hollow progression guide.

The Shinigami/Hollow choice requires swift action. Choosing Hollow requires breaking your chain; for Shinigami, the chain breaks automatically every two minutes. If you let the chain break completely, you'll become a Hollow. In that case, consult our resurrection moves list for Hollow endgame strategies.

Hollow Era Shinigami Quests Guide

Your first quest involves purifying six Lost Souls. Afterward, accept the next quest from the NPC near Hurt Shinigami. This involves delivering a letter to a doctor near the hospital. This early stage is ideal for learning your powers. Consider purchasing a $1,000 random power sword from a Urakara shop. For efficient travel, use the bus stop ($200) or purchase infinite fast travel (149 Robux) from the in-game shop.

Quests are marked with a red crosshair. Expect varied tasks, including repeatable quests, progression quests, and quests related to paths like Vizard and Airwalk. These quests continue until you reach level 15.

Full Soul Reaper Skill Tree and Reiatsu

Strategic skill point allocation is crucial for maximizing your Reiatsu. Your Reiatsu Skill Tree features Kido abilities, exclusive to Shinigami. Kido nodes increase Kido damage, while Reiatsu nodes boost your maximum Reiatsu. Kido abilities include:

• Caja Negacion: A lightning beam. Combine with Electric for area-of-effect damage.
• Shakkaho: An explosive energy ball. Ragdoll adds ragdoll effect; Fire adds fire damage.
• Chain Bind: Energy chains to pull enemies closer.
• Prison of Light: Immobilizes enemies with light rods.
• Thunder Sear: A slow-moving lightning ball that explodes on contact.

How to Get Shikai in Hollow Era

Reach level 15 to unlock the Shikai Training quest from Urihiro. Defeat Urahara Kisuke to earn Shikai. This fight is challenging at level 15; consider reaching level 25 or higher for an easier victory.

Unlocking Shikai grants your weapon a random powerful ability. Re-roll at the Urahara Shop if dissatisfied. Activate Shikai (default Y) when your Rage Bar is full. Shikai ends when Reiatsu is depleted or when you release the Y key.

Hollow Era Shikai Mastering

Shikai Mastery increases with Mastery Points earned by using Shikai. Higher Mastery Levels reduce Rage consumption and provide visual effects and power boosts:

• Mastery Level 1 (1-149 Points): Transparent Aura
• Mastery Level 2 (150-299 Points): Enhanced Aura
• Mastery Level 3 (300-499 Points): Lightning Boost

Becoming a Visored in the Hollow Era

Reach level 50 to unlock the Visored quest at the Vizard’s Warehouse. Becoming a Visored allows switching between Shinigami and Hollow forms using a Hollow Mask. Defeat the King of Hueco Mundo (1% drop rate) for Hogyoku, a crucial item for Visored progression. Then obtain the Vizard fighting style.

Hollow Era Visored Mastering

Visored perks include Mask Control (reduces Hollow control chance) and the Visored node (extends mask usage and damage).
