Dark and Darker Mobile's new pre-season #3, "Grappling with the Abyss," is set to launch today and will run until June 10th. This exciting update brings a wealth of new content to the game, mirroring the trend of offering extensive pre-launch access seen in games like Sonic Rumble. Players can dive into a competitive PvP mode, a PvE boss gauntlet, and enjoy numerous quality-of-life improvements and new mechanics.
The Arena mode is one of the major additions, introducing competitive PvP to Dark and Darker Mobile. In this mode, players will engage in 3v3, best-of-five deathmatches on randomized maps. To participate, you must be at least level 10 and have a minimum equipment score of 500. You can also bring one hired mercenary companion into the arena to bolster your team.
Another significant inclusion is the Shadow Realm, a new PvE mode where you'll face escalating weekly boss battles against formidable monsters. To reach these bosses, you must first clear waves of lesser creatures, making it a challenging endeavor. Access to this mode is granted at account level 15, ensuring that only seasoned players can take on these tough encounters.
In addition to these headline features, pre-season #3 brings a host of other enhancements. The new Guild Encampment provides a social space where guild members can interact and socialize. The Soulstone system, unlockable at account level 8, allows you to equip a monster's soulstone to gain unique traits. The Stat Tree system offers persistent progression, complementing the influx of new loot, monsters, gear, and quality-of-life upgrades introduced in this update.
