Delays Hit Mobile Port Dredging, Beta Test Set for December

by Sarah Jan 09,2025

Dredge's mobile release delayed until February 2025, but a new closed beta is now open!

Fans eagerly awaiting Black Salt Games' Lovecraftian fishing horror, Dredge, on mobile devices will need to wait a bit longer. The mobile port has been pushed back to February 2025. However, the delay comes with good news: a new closed beta test is now open for registration!

For the uninitiated, Dredge casts players as a fisherman in the eerie town of Greater Marrow. What begins as simple fishing quickly unravels into a chilling journey filled with strange sea creatures, mysterious entities, and the unsettling threat of madness on a nearby island.

Sign up for the closed mobile beta via this Google Form. Despite the delay, Dredge's numerous awards and critical acclaim suggest the wait will be worthwhile for those who haven't yet experienced this unique blend of horror and fishing.

Having played the PC version, the delay isn't surprising. Adapting such a large and detailed game to mobile is a significant undertaking. The additional closed beta is a smart move, allowing for more player feedback and ensuring a smoother mobile experience.
