Delta Force Devs Unveil New Campaign: Black Hawk Down

by Madison Apr 28,2025

The free-to-play first-person shooter, Delta Force, has recently launched an exciting new co-op campaign mode named Black Hawk Down. This mode draws inspiration from the iconic film and reimagines the original campaign from the 2003 game, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. Rebuilt from the ground up using Unreal Engine 5, this campaign immerses players into the intense streets of Mogadishu with a level of detail and realism that was unattainable in the original release 22 years ago. It's designed to offer a significant challenge, pushing players to their limits.

While it's technically possible to complete the campaign solo, be warned—it will be an extremely tough endeavor. You won't encounter fewer enemies or experience less intense firefights. The developers strongly recommend assembling a squad of four players, each with a different character class, to maximize teamwork and successfully navigate through the campaign's seven chapters.

For those eager to dive deeper into the campaign details, you can explore this comprehensive article. In celebration of the launch, we had the privilege of speaking with studio head Leo Yao and game director Shadow Guo. They shared insights on the decision to reboot the classic campaign, their choice to offer it for free, and much more.
