Diablo 4 Reveals New Consumables Coming in Season 5

Diablo IV Season 5 Leaked: Four New Consumables Revealed on PTR

Exciting news for Diablo IV players! Season 5's Public Test Realm (PTR) has unveiled four brand-new consumables, adding a fresh layer of strategic depth to the gameplay. This follows the recent PTR opening, which has already begun revealing details about the upcoming season's features.

Consumables in Diablo IV are items used to restore health, provide temporary buffs, or enhance character abilities. They're typically acquired by defeating monsters, looting chests and crests, or purchasing them from vendors. Existing types include healing potions, elixirs offering stat boosts (like increased armor), and incense that enhances maximum life or elemental resistance.

Season 5 introduces four intriguing additions:

  • Antipathy: A rare anointment boosting player resistance.
  • Blackblood: A common anointment enhancing a random core stat.
  • Vitriol: A magical anointment increasing damage over time.
  • Triune Anointment Cache: A new cache containing anointments, rare gear, and crafting materials.

These new consumables are specifically designed for the new Infernal Hordes endgame mode, a roguelite experience where players face waves of enemies within a 90-second timeframe. After each wave, players select from three modifiers to alter the challenge. Naturally, higher difficulty levels yield better rewards.

Infernal Hordes also introduces Abyssal Scrolls, functioning similarly to the Profane Mindcage Elixir in Helltides, allowing players to ramp up the challenge.

While the PTR remains open until July 2nd, many details about these new consumables remain shrouded in mystery. Players eagerly await further information on acquisition methods, usage costs, and the crafting recipes for the anointments. The upcoming weeks will undoubtedly reveal more about these exciting additions to Diablo IV's Season 5.
