Disney Dreamlight Valley's Storybook Vale expansion introduces a wealth of new ingredients, some easier to find than others. Mussels, a type of seafood described as a surprisingly effective water filter, present a particular challenge. Unlike some other shellfish, they only appear in specific Storybook Vale biomes, and their spawn points can be unpredictable.
Mussels in Disney Dreamlight Valley are found on the ground throughout Mythopia. Specifically, check these areas:
While some players report easily finding Mussels in these locations, others find them scarce. One potential hotspot is near trial areas, for example, near the first trial in the Elysian Fields (Hades' unlock area).
A cluster of Mussels might also be discovered behind the hidden bush area in the Elysian Fields during Hades' "A Moth to a Flame" quest. Uncovering this area may increase Mussel spawns across Mythopia.
