The popular Kinetic Blade, previously featured in Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1, also known as Fortnite Hunters. This isn't the only katana available; players can choose between the Kinetic Blade and the new Typhoon Blade.

How to Find the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite

The Kinetic Blade appears in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can be found as floor loot or within standard and Rare chests.

Currently, the Kinetic Blade's drop rate seems relatively low. The absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further reduces its availability.

How to Use the Kinetic Blade in Fortnite

The Kinetic Blade is a melee weapon enabling swift movement and surprise attacks.

Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for increased speed, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack for a forward lunge. This attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact. It can be used three times consecutively before requiring a recharge.

Players can also employ the Knockback Slash, dealing 35 damage and knocking back opponents. This can lead to fall damage and potential eliminations if the opponent is sent off a high point.
