Fortnite Adds a Highly Requested Feature

Fortnite's Chapter 6 Season 1 update introduces a highly anticipated feature: using Fortnite Festival instruments as pickaxes and back blings! This addition, accessible via a dedicated "instruments" option in the locker, has been met with enthusiastic player response.

Beyond the musical weaponry, the update boasts new cosmetics from the Godzilla collaboration, including outfits and accessories. This builds on December 2024's additions of Ballistic, LEGO Fortnite: Brick Life, and Fortnite OG modes.

Fortnite Festival itself continues to expand, offering a unique gameplay experience likened to Guitar Hero, with licensed music and instrument cosmetics available in the Item Shop. Recent additions include local co-op and collaborations with artists like Snoop Dogg, Metallica, and Lady Gaga.

The ability to equip instruments as both pickaxes and back blings simultaneously is a significant surprise. Instruments seamlessly transition between roles; disappearing when used as a pickaxe and reappearing upon weapon/item switching. This update also features a Hatsune Miku crossover, adding new outfits and instruments.

The streamlined "instruments" sorting option in the locker provides easy access to these new cosmetic items. Existing instruments previously limited to back bling or pickaxe roles have also received updates for use within Fortnite Festival. This enhancement directly addresses a long-standing player request, resulting in overwhelmingly positive community feedback.

The Godzilla collaboration further enriches the update, offering pink and blue edit styles for the Godzilla outfit and unlockable accessories such as a wrap, harvester, and glider, through battle pass challenges. The abundance of new content has generated significant excitement among Fortnite players.
