Fortnite's cosmetic items are hugely popular, with players eager to showcase their unique skins. Epic Games' rotating store model, while generating excitement, also creates lengthy wait times for desired skins. The return of Master Chief after two years, and the eventual reappearance of Renegade Raider and Aerial Assault Trooper, illustrate this. However, the future of Arcane skins, Jinx and Vi, remains uncertain.
The strong player demand for a return of Jinx and Vi, amplified after Arcane's second season, has unfortunately been met with less-than-optimistic news. Riot Games co-founder Marc Merrill indicated during a stream that the collaboration was limited to the first season, leaving the decision solely with Riot. While Merrill later expressed willingness to discuss the matter internally, he offered no guarantees.
The chances of these skins returning seem slim. While the potential revenue would benefit Riot, the risk of players switching from League of Legends to Fortnite due to the skins is likely a significant concern. With League of Legends facing challenges, diverting its player base is undesirable.
While future developments are possible, managing expectations regarding a Jinx and Vi return in Fortnite is currently advisable.
