Recent leaks offer a glimpse into Genshin Impact's future character releases, revealing a string of highly anticipated 5-star additions. Version 5.3 has already introduced Mavuika and Citlali, alongside the 4-star Lan Yan in the upcoming Lantern Rite Festival. However, the spotlight now shifts to the upcoming updates, 5.4 through 5.7.
A credible leaker, DK2, has unveiled the release schedule for four new 5-star characters, appearing in Versions 5.7, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6 respectively. While the Special Program hinted at these characters, DK2's leak provides a clearer picture.
Mizuki: A Mid-February Arrival in Version 5.4
The most immediate addition is Mizuki, a 5-star Anemo catalyst user from Inazuma, slated for Version 5.4, likely debuting around mid-February. This leak aligns with current beta testing, which features Mizuki as the sole new 5-star character. Her design, as seen in leaked silhouettes, matches the beta's Mizuki model.
Mizuki is anticipated to be a support character, excelling with high Elemental Mastery and showing promising synergy with the recently released Mavuika. Beta gameplay footage supports this assessment.
Looking Ahead to Versions 5.5, 5.6, and 5.7
While details remain scarce, the leak confirms three more 5-star characters are on the horizon for Versions 5.5, 5.6, and 5.7. Further leaks and official announcements will be needed to unveil their identities, abilities, and release dates. The consistent addition of new characters keeps Genshin Impact's gameplay fresh and engaging. The return to Inazuma with Mizuki suggests HoYoverse's pattern of revisiting previously introduced regions.
