Hades 2's "Olympic Update," a significant content drop, introduces a powerful new region, enhanced characters, and refined combat mechanics.
Supergiant Games has unleashed the highly anticipated Olympic Update for Hades 2, promising substantial gameplay enhancements. The developers plan to closely monitor player feedback to ensure the update's success. This major update introduces a wealth of new content, including a breathtaking new region, a formidable new weapon, additional allies, and charming new animal companions.
Key highlights of the "practically mountain-sized" Olympic Update include:
Hades 2, currently in early access, is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed roguelike action-adventure title. Its early access release on PC has garnered praise for its replayability and substantial content. The Olympic Update significantly expands upon this foundation, adding hours of new gameplay, dialogue, and voice lines. The addition of Olympus, the mythical home of Zeus, promises to intensify the narrative and challenge players in exciting new ways.
Significant improvements have been made to Melinoe's abilities and several Nocturnal Arms, including the Witch's Staff, Sister Blades, Umbral Flames, and Moonstone Axe. Melinoe's Dash has been enhanced for improved responsiveness and speed, allowing for quicker escapes from attacks. However, these improvements are met with a corresponding increase in enemy difficulty.
The Olympic Update introduces a range of new enemies, including formidable Wardens and a powerful Guardian, specifically designed for the new Mount Olympus region. Existing enemies from the Surface have also undergone adjustments:
