Helldivers 2 Truth Enforcers Warbond Drops This October 31st

Arrowhead Studios and Sony Interactive Entertainment are releasing the Truth Enforcers Warbond, premium content for Helldivers 2, on October 31st, 2024. This substantial update offers a significant arsenal upgrade, allowing players to become Super Earth's elite Truth Enforcers.

The Warbond functions similarly to a battle pass, using earned Medals to unlock items. Unlike typical battle passes, these are permanently yours. Purchase it for 1,000 Super Credits in the Acquisitions Center within the Destroyer ship's menu.

The Truth Enforcers Warbond aligns with the Ministry of Truth's unwavering principles. Expect top-tier weaponry and armor sets to enhance your combat capabilities.

Show your loyalty with the new PLAS-15 Loyalist Plasma Pistol, offering both rapid semi-automatic fire and powerful charged shots. For close-quarters combat, the SMG-32 Reprimand is a fast-firing submachine gun. The SG-20 Halt shotgun delivers crowd control with stun rounds and armor-piercing flechettes.

Two new armor sets—the UF-16 Inspector (light armor with red accents and the "Proof of Faultless Virtue" cape) and the UF-50 Bloodhound (medium armor, red accents, and "Pride of the Whistleblower" cape)—both feature the Unflinching perk, reducing stagger from incoming fire.

Beyond armor, expect new banners, cosmetic patterns for hellpods, exosuits, and Pelican-1, plus the "At Ease" emote.

The Dead Sprint booster lets you sprint and dive even when out of stamina, at the cost of health—a high-risk, high-reward maneuver.

Helldivers 2's Future Despite Player Base Fluctuations

Despite a strong initial launch (peaking at 458,709 concurrent Steam players, excluding PS5), Helldivers 2 experienced a player base decline. This was largely due to initial account linking restrictions affecting over 177 countries. While Sony reversed this, access remains limited in these regions.

Steam concurrent players dropped to around 30,000, briefly doubling after the August Escalation of Freedom update but since settling below 40,000. The Truth Enforcers Warbond aims to reignite interest and bring players back to the fight for Super Earth.
