Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered enhances the thrilling action gameplay while offering extensive customization options for weapons and outfits. You can craft one outfit perfect for stealthily navigating around machines, and another optimized for either melee or ranged combat.
There will be times when you'll want to merge the effects of multiple outfits. Fortunately, this is possible, though with certain limitations. The guide below will walk you through the process.
In Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, you can enjoy the benefits of two outfits simultaneously, a feature not available in the original version. A recent patch introduced the transmog feature, which lets you maintain the stats and effects of one outfit while adopting the appearance of another. Now, you no longer have to compromise on style for the sake of stats.
To utilize the effects of two outfits, there are key prerequisites to consider. This technique is not compatible with all outfits. While you can choose any outfit for one slot, the second must be one of these three:
You can't use this method at the start of the game since these outfits are exclusive to the Frozen Wilds DLC area. Thankfully, you don't need to finish the base game to access it.
To start, reach the expansion area by defeating the new machine. If it's challenging, consider lowering the difficulty or upgrading your gear. Once in the area, find any Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue Merchant icon) and purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit.
To obtain the superior Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit, complete the "For the Werak" quest, the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC. Equip your best gear, as this mission is demanding. Alternatively, switch to Story mode to ease the challenge and unlock the outfit more quickly.
The process for acquiring the Adept version is the same, but it's only available in New Game Plus (NG+).
Once you have the second outfit, you're ready to go. You don’t need to progress further in the Frozen Wilds if you don't wish to.
Begin by equipping your preferred outfit, focusing on the stats you need. Remember, you can enhance an outfit's stats with Weaves. After selecting your primary outfit, use the transmog feature to apply the appearance of one of the three Banuk Werak outfits. Although these outfits don't boost stats, they offer automatic healing after taking damage for a period.
This method allows you to retain the stats of your chosen outfit while benefiting from the auto-healing perk of the Banuk Werak outfits. If your primary outfit is the Shield Weaver, you're nearly invincible, as you rarely take damage. And when you do, the Banuk Werak outfits' healing perk activates after a brief delay.
The healing perk of the Chieftain and Chieftain Adept outfits activates much quicker than that of the Banuk Werak Runner, so prioritize these if available.
