Nvidia's recent hardware and software showcase unveiled a new 12-second teaser for the highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages. This glimpse showcases the game's diverse environments and features the iconic Doom Slayer, equipped with a new shield. The game, confirmed for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC in 2025, will leverage DLSS 4 technology for enhanced visuals.

Doom: The Dark Ages, a continuation of id Software's successful reboot series, promises to build upon the intense combat and brutal world established in 2016's Doom. While the teaser doesn't display combat, it highlights the variety of locations players will explore, ranging from opulent corridors to barren landscapes.

Nvidia's showcase emphasized the game's visual fidelity, powered by the latest idTech engine and featuring ray reconstruction on the new RTX 50 series. This suggests a visually stunning experience. The teaser follows the announcement at last year's Xbox Games Showcase.

The showcase also featured other titles like CD Projekt Red's The Witcher sequel and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, highlighting the advancements in visual technology enabled by Nvidia's new GeForce RTX 50 series.

While a precise release date remains unannounced, Doom: The Dark Ages is slated for launch across Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC sometime in 2025. Further details regarding the storyline, enemy types, and combat mechanics are expected as the year progresses.
