Industry Insiders Hint at PS5 Release

Reports suggest Indiana Jones and the Great Circle could arrive on PS5 in early 2025. Industry insider Nate the Hate, known for accurate leaks regarding Microsoft's multi-platform strategies, claims the game will be an Xbox timed console exclusive for the 2024 holiday season, with a PS5 release to follow in the first half of 2025. Insider Gaming corroborates this, noting that some media outlets have received this information under NDA.

“MachineGames' Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will release on Xbox & PC this holiday (Dec) as a timed console exclusive. After this timed-exclusive window, it's planned for PlayStation 5 in the first half of 2025,” Nate the Hate tweeted.

Xbox Expanding to PlayStation?

Microsoft's approach to exclusivity has been a topic of much discussion. Earlier reports from The Verge indicated that Bethesda and Microsoft were considering broader releases for major Xbox titles, including Indiana Jones and Starfield. While initially exclusive, Microsoft's "Xbox Everywhere" initiative, which brought titles like Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, and Grounded to other platforms, suggests a shift in strategy. The possibility of future Xbox first-party games launching on PlayStation is no longer out of the question.

More details are expected during Gamescom Opening Night Live on August 20th, hosted by Geoff Keighley.
