Unraveling the Mystery of "Bad Blood" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, enriching the game's narrative and character development. This guide details how to initiate and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
Starting the Quest:
Progress through the main questline until you're tasked with finding Mutt. This leads you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Speaking with Bozhena about Mutt reveals her daughter Pavlena's disappearance, triggering the "Bad Blood" quest.
Gathering Information:
Troskowitz Investigation: Talk to Bailiff Thrush and Innkeeper Betty in Troskowitz to gather information about Bozhena and Pavlena, uncovering the reasons for their ostracization.
Woodcutter's Clues: Speak with Woodcutter Dushko, who directs you to Roman's house. You'll need lockpicking skills to enter. Examine Pavlena's basket inside.
The Clearing: Dushko leads you to a clearing, a favorite spot for Roman and Pavlena. Follow the blood trail to discover Roman's body.
Further Leads: Speak with Hoggerd Hugo and Hired Hand Straw (requiring a successful dialogue check). Straw's testimony reveals Jakesh's involvement and the events leading to Roman's death. Inform Bailiff Thrush about Straw.
Confronting Ota:
Locate Ota and Pavlena near the large boulder south of Zhelejov. High Charisma is beneficial for dialogue. Convincing Ota to release Pavlena involves selecting dialogue options such as: "What's your name?", "Let her go and I'll let you go.", and "I'll put in a good word for you with His Lordship." Pavlena will subsequently kill Ota.
Resolution: Kill Jakesh or Make Peace:
Find Jakesh at his child's grave. You have two choices:
Kill Jakesh: This lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but significantly improves your standing with Bozhena and Pavlena. You receive a necklace as a reward and unlock additional dialogue with Pavlena.
Make Peace: Convince Jakesh and Bozhena to reconcile. Jakesh offers 100 Groschen. You can keep the money or share it with Bozhena, influencing their reintegration into the village.
Regardless of your choice, the quest concludes.
Should You Kill Jakesh?
Killing Jakesh carries reputational consequences within Troskowitz, but rewards you with Bozhena and Pavlena's favor and a unique item. Forgiveness offers a different outcome, impacting village dynamics and relationships. The choice is yours, shaping the narrative's conclusion.
