Legends: Z Release Date Revealed

Pokémon Legends: Z-A – August 15, 2025 Release Date Leak

A potential release date for Pokémon Legends: Z-A has surfaced online, pointing to an August 15, 2025 launch. This date, initially spotted on Amazon UK in early January 2025 and quickly removed, aligns with The Pokémon Company's previously stated 2025 release window.

Initially unveiled during the February 2024 Pokémon Day celebrations, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is anticipated as a sequel to the exploration-focused Pokémon Legends: Arceus (2022). Unlike its predecessor, which omitted traditional gym battles and the Pokémon League, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is expected to continue the open-ended, collection-centric gameplay. Details beyond the initial announcement remain scarce.

The Amazon UK listing leak, discovered by content creator Light88, briefly displayed the August 15th date before reverting to a December 31st placeholder. This strengthens the possibility of an August release, given the game's confirmed 2025 launch window.

February 2025 Confirmation Possible

The official release date may be revealed sooner than expected. Considering the original announcement during Pokémon Day 2024, a similar reveal during Pokémon Day 2025 (February 27th) is highly likely. This date coincides with the original Japanese release of Pokémon Red and Green, and recent findings from a Pokémon GO datamine support this February 27th date for the 2025 event.

Beyond the release date, fans anticipate a gameplay reveal, potentially also debuting during the Pokémon Day 2025 presentation.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is confirmed for Nintendo Switch, and will also be playable on the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to the confirmed backward compatibility. While past mainline Pokémon titles have featured paid DLC, Pokémon Legends: Arceus only received a single free post-launch update, "Daybreak."
