NetEase Games has exciting news for Marvel Rivals enthusiasts: a new hero will be introduced every month and a half as part of the game's ongoing seasons. This announcement was made by the studio's creative director, Guangyun Chen, during an interview with Metro. Chen emphasized the team's commitment to enriching the game experience, stating, "Every season we’ll be rolling out fresh seasonal stories, new maps, and new heroes. We’ll actually be breaking down each season into two halves. The length of one season is three months. And for each half of the season, we will introduce a new hero. We just eventually want to continue to enhance the experience, and, you know, keep everyone excited in our community."
This ambitious plan raises anticipation among fans, who are eager to discover which heroes will join the roster next. Marvel Rivals Season 1: Eternal Night Falls set a strong precedent by introducing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman in its first half, followed by The Thing and the Human Torch in the second half. These iconic characters have set a high bar, and maintaining this momentum will be crucial for the game's continued success.
The initial launch of Marvel Rivals featured an impressive lineup of heroes, including Wolverine, Magneto, Spider-Man, Jeff the Landshark, and Storm. Looking ahead, there's speculation about future additions, with characters like Blade rumored for Season 2, and fans expressing hope for the inclusion of Daredevil, Deadpool, and other X-Men members. While the exact expansion plans remain under wraps, NetEase's current success suggests a bright future for the game.
In addition to new heroes, Marvel Rivals Season 1 brought a series of balance changes and gameplay tweaks, with more updates promised for the future.
