Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features Event Hints at Blade's Arrival and Reveals Ultron's Abilities
Marvel Rivals' Midnight Features event has unveiled official artwork of Blade, fueling speculation about his potential inclusion as a playable character in Season 2. Season 1 is currently underway, offering new maps, a new game mode, and a compelling battle pass.
The Midnight Features quests, accessible via the Season menu, are divided into five chapters, each with three quests. Completing these quests rewards players with Chrono Tokens, Units, and a free Thor skin. All five chapters are expected to be available by January 17th. Chapter 3's reward is a Gallery Card depicting Blade facing Dracula, Season 1's antagonist. This artwork marks the first official confirmation of Blade's existence within the game, following previous data-mined discoveries. Season 1's narrative positions Dracula as having removed Blade and Doctor Strange from the battlefield.
Blade's Potential as a Playable Character:
The artwork's appearance strongly suggests Blade's debut as a playable character in Season 2. Fan theories suggest the Fantastic Four will defeat Dracula in Season 1's climax, rescuing Blade and Doctor Strange. Many believe Blade would excel as a Duelist class, potentially featuring a transformation ability similar to Magik and Hulk's ultimates, enhancing his strength, modifying attacks, and granting wall-hack capabilities.
Ultron's Leaked Abilities:
Beyond Blade, leaks from Season 0 revealed Ultron's full ability kit, hinting at a Strategist role with healing and support capabilities. While initially predicted for Season 1, his introduction seems delayed following the Fantastic Four's arrival. It's important to remember that leaks should be treated as rumors until officially confirmed by NetEase Games.
