Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially closing its doors. This isn't entirely unexpected for many players, mirroring the fate of other Naruto gacha games like Naruto Blazing.
Shutdown Date:
The game, launched in 2017, will cease operations on December 9th, 2024. Players can continue enjoying the game until then.
Final Events:
Several events are planned before the end:
Players can continue collecting cards, participating in summons, and using in-game items until the shutdown. It's advisable to spend any remaining Gold Coins.
Reasons for Closure:
While initially successful with its balanced village-building and defense mechanics, the game's later stages saw a decline. The introduction of powerful characters (like Minato) fueled a power creep, alienating players. Increased pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features contributed to the game's downfall. The writing was on the wall for many.
The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to try it before its closure.
