Netflix Games' newest addition is a fresh take on the timeless Minesweeper. Originally a Microsoft PC staple from the 90s (with an even earlier design), this version boasts enhanced graphics and a globe-trotting world tour mode.
Unlike some of Netflix Games' more complex indie titles or show tie-ins, this is a familiar puzzle game. Minesweeper Netflix takes the classic formula and adds a world map, allowing players to uncover hidden explosives and unlock new locations as they progress.
The core gameplay remains unchanged. Players navigate a grid, clicking squares to reveal numbers indicating adjacent mines. Strategic flagging of suspected mine locations is key to successfully clearing the board. While seemingly simple, the game's complexity can be deceptively challenging, even for seasoned Minesweeper veterans.

Despite its straightforward premise, Minesweeper retains its enduring appeal. A quick playthrough confirmed its addictive nature, easily consuming more time than initially anticipated.
Will this alone entice new subscribers to Netflix's premium tier? Perhaps not. However, for existing subscribers who enjoy classic logic puzzles, Minesweeper provides another compelling reason to maintain their subscription.
