Obtaining Machine Arms early presents a challenge. While they drop from defeated small machines, the drop rate is significantly higher with higher-level enemies.

Farming Machine Arms

The most efficient early-game farming location is the pit where you first encounter Adam after Chapter 4. Access this area via the Desert: Housing Complex fast travel point and proceed into the ruins.

This pit offers a constant respawn of small machines, providing a consistent, albeit low-yield, source of Machine Arms. The frequent spawns compensate for the low drop rate. This location is also beneficial for Titanium Alloy farming. Using a Drop Rate Plug-In Chip can slightly improve your chances.
