Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Encyclopedia and TTRPG

Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, Crystal Dynamics has partnered with Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker to create two exciting new additions to the Legacy of Kain universe. These projects aim to further explore the rich lore and world of Nosgoth.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The Book of Nosgoth, penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun, promises a comprehensive exploration of Nosgoth. This official encyclopedia will delve into the series' locations, factions, characters, and the epic conflict between Kain and Raziel, offering a detailed timeline of events. Beyond the lore, the book will include behind-the-scenes material such as concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, providing a deep dive into the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan: A New TTRPG

The second project is a tabletop role-playing game, Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan. Set during the Sarafan Order's war against vampires, this TTRPG utilizes the MÖRK BORG ruleset for a streamlined, high-stakes experience. Players will take on the roles of Sarafan warrior priests, engaging in vampire hunts and exploring Nosgoth's hidden history and spectral realms. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the vast landscape of Nosgoth as its setting.
