Orna, the fantasy RPG and GPS MMO by Northern Forge Studios, is hosting Terra's Legacy, a unique in-game event tackling real-world environmental pollution. From September 9th to 19th, players will battle pollution-themed enemies and contribute to cleaning up polluted locations.
Combating Pollution, Virtually and In Reality
Terra's Legacy seamlessly blends virtual gameplay with real-world environmental action. Players identify polluted areas in their surroundings and report them through the Orna app. Northern Forge then transforms these locations into in-game "Gloomsites."
These Gloomsites are populated by the Murk, representing pollution. Defeating the Murk raises awareness and allows players to plant virtual trees and grow Gaia apples in those same polluted areas. These apples can be used to customize characters and enhance magical abilities, and can be harvested by other players. The more players participate, the greater the impact, both in-game and in the real world.
