REDMAGIC 10s Pro: Upgrade Worth It?

by Claire Jan 14,2026

At Droid Gamers, we regularly feature a wide range of REDMAGIC devices. We recently published our hands-on review of the 10 Air model.

These smartphones are engineered with gamers' needs front and center. In our assessment, the Air demonstrates thoughtful design—Nubia clearly strives for meaningful improvements with every new generation, not relying solely on their established reputation for high-performance gaming phones.

Now, the 10s Pro enters the scene, aiming to deliver a major step up from the 10 Pro model that was introduced less than a year ago. So what sets this latest version apart from its still-recent predecessor? Let's take a closer look.

First Impressions

Straight out of the box, the 10s Pro offers a slightly more refined look than the 10 Pro. A sleek graphite-like trim frames the device, complemented by a transparent glass back that showcases the internal components.

Overall, the phone maintains a clean, understated aesthetic. The dedicated gaming mode triggers are subtly integrated, while the standard power and volume controls are discreetly placed.

Tech and Features

The 10s Pro, like other REDMAGIC devices, truly stands out for its raw performance. When you fire up the 6.85-inch display, everything you play or watch looks stunning. The screen dominates the front of the phone, and with visuals this impressive, it's easy to appreciate.

Under the hood, the 10s Pro brings modest but meaningful gains over the 10 Pro. Some core specs remain unchanged, such as the screen size, dual-speaker setup, and the substantial 7050mAh battery supported by an 80w GaN charger.

The key upgrades are found in the hardware: the CPU frequency has been increased to 1100 MHz from 4.32 GHz, and the GPU now runs at 1200 MHz, up from 4.47 GHz.

Gaming Performance

As expected, the REDMAGIC 10s Pro handles nearly any game you can throw at it with ease.

Even the most demanding titles we tested ran flawlessly, with the phone staying cool and quiet under load.

Battery life held up well through extended play sessions. The inclusion of a 3.5mm headphone jack also allows you to enjoy high-quality audio on the go without disturbing others.

Gaming Features

Beyond raw power, the 10s Pro includes a number of gaming-specific enhancements. The capacitive shoulder buttons performed reliably in our testing.

Then there's the Game Space software, which provides quick access to various gaming plugins, accessories, screenshots, and settings.

You can adjust display options, record gameplay, and more. You can even set up automatic recording for specific in-game events. An AI-powered feature also suggests custom control layouts—something we were surprised to find worked quite well during our time with the device.

Overall Verdict

The REDMAGIC 10s Pro is a seriously capable smartphone, particularly when it comes to gaming. That said, its predecessor remains highly competitive, making it difficult to recommend an upgrade unless you're coming from an older model.

If you are using an older device, however, the 10s Pro stands as one of the top choices available for dedicated mobile gamers.

A Polished Update

An excellent smartphone for gaming enthusiasts, though the upgrades over the previous model are incremental.
