Roselia Shines in Pokémon GO Spotlight

Pokemon GO's weekly Spotlight Hour events offer players exciting opportunities to catch featured Pokemon, earn rewards, and even snag Shiny variants. This guide focuses on the Roselia Spotlight Hour.

This week's Spotlight Hour features Roselia and takes place on January 14th, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Prepare beforehand by stocking up on Poke Balls, Berries, and Incense to maximize your catches. This event also provides a 2x Catch XP bonus, allowing for rapid XP gains.

Roselia (#0315), a Grass and Poison-type Pokemon from Generation 3 (Hoenn), boasts a maximum CP of 2114, with 186 Attack and 131 Defense. It evolves in a three-stage process: Budew to Roselia (25 Candies), then Roselia to Roserade (100 Candies and a Sinnoh Stone). Catching Roselia rewards players with 3 Candies and 100 Stardust.

Roselia is tradeable within Pokemon GO and can also be transferred to Pokemon Home. Its weaknesses lie against Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-type attacks (160% increased damage taken), while it resists Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Water-type attacks (63% reduced damage), and Grass-type attacks (39% reduced damage). Its optimal moveset is Poison Jab and Sludge Bomb, delivering 10.96 DPS and 99.91 TDO, boosted further by Cloudy Weather.

A Shiny Roselia exists, distinguished by its brighter green body and purple and black roses. Increase your chances of encountering a Shiny by using Incense and liberally employing Berries to ensure successful captures.
