After a decade of peaceful suburban life for the Sims, the unwelcome return of burglars is shaking things up! The Sims 4 developers recently announced this long-awaited (by some) update in their latest blog post.
Just like in previous games, installing a home security system is your best defense. Trigger the alarm, and the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend the culprit. For more effective protection, skilled Sims can upgrade the alarm system, reducing the chance of malfunctions and ensuring automatic police dispatch. If you're caught off guard without an alarm, you can still try calling the police—though hoping they arrive in time might be a gamble. Alternatively, a more diplomatic approach involves trying to befriend the burglar.
For those with access to expansion packs, creative solutions abound! Unleash your furry friends, summon the power of spellcasters, vampires, or werewolves, or even freeze the burglar solid with a specialized ray. These more exotic methods are, however, locked behind the paywalls of their respective expansion packs.
The good news? This burglar update is available now, and it's completely free!
