Sonic News: Updates Coming for Sonic Forces, Dream Team, and Dash ahead of Movie Release

Sega unleashes a wave of Sonic mobile game updates timed with the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie release! Across platforms, including Apple Arcade, App Store, and Google Play, players can expect fresh content inspired by the film.

First up, Sonic Forces receives a major update on December 12th, introducing a brand-new Metro-city Zone. This thrilling addition boasts three challenging tracks playable as Movie Shadow, Movie Sonic, and other iconic characters. Complete the levels before seeing the movie for the ultimate experience!

Next, Sonic Dream Team on Apple Arcade gets its update on December 18th, adding Shadow the Hedgehog as a playable character with unique abilities. Unlock him by tackling Tails’ Challenges. Shadow’s Chaos Control and Chaos Shift powers allow for time manipulation, freezing foes and the environment.

This update also introduces new powers like Quick Grind and Perfect Boost for all characters, and exclusive upgrades like Double Chaos Shift for Shadow. Six new Shadow-themed statues and music tracks are included, along with a revamped tutorial for smoother onboarding.

Lastly, Sonic Dash gets its update on December 20th, offering players the chance to collect cards to unlock Movie Shadow and Movie Sonic. Daily challenges provide additional rewards. Sonic Dash+, on Apple Arcade, will receive its Shadow-themed update in January.
