Bethesda's Starfield receives a galactic upgrade thanks to a new Creation mod introducing Star Wars lightsabers. The recently released Starfield Creation Kit empowers players to share creative content, including new features and cosmetic additions. This has led to a surge of Star Wars mods, ranging from simple cosmetic items like Mandalorian armor to more substantial additions like AT-ST enemies and iconic blasters. One notable mod even adds Boba Fett, offering a tantalizing glimpse of the canceled Star Wars 1313.
Now, the free Immersive Sabers mod by SomberKing takes Star Wars integration a step further. This mod introduces three unique lightsabers – the Combatech Polaris, Old Earth Photonsaber, and the Arboron Novabeam Saber – complete with authentic sound effects, upgrade options, and customizable beam colors. A new perk enhances lightsaber deflection capabilities. Interestingly, these lightsabers can also be looted from enemies, cleverly integrating them into Starfield's existing mechanics. The mod's Creation Club page teases three additional lightsabers from various in-game manufacturers.
Immersive Sabers Mod Brings Lightsabers to Starfield
The influx of player-created content, coupled with recent game updates including city maps and ship customization, has significantly boosted player enthusiasm for Starfield. However, Bethesda's approach to paid mods remains a point of contention, particularly regarding the paywalled conclusion of the Trackers Alliance questline. Despite this, future updates like the upcoming "Shattered Space" expansion and deeper exploration of the House Va'ruun faction promise plenty of exciting content for Starfield players.
