In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, armor sets stand out from typical RPG mechanics due to their unique approach. Unlike other games, wearing a complete set doesn't provide set bonuses, making it less advantageous to stick to full sets. Instead, armor pieces are often found together in specific locations or on certain enemies, giving sets their names based on these origins. Exceptions include sets from Twitch drops and pre-order bonuses. Here's a rundown of the best armor sets in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and their specific uses.
The Cuman Armor becomes available in the latter part of the game, specifically in the Kuttenberg Region during the "Bellatores" side quest. While not ideal for stealth due to its high noise and conspicuousness, it excels in protection against slashing and blunt damage, perfect for combat-heavy quests. Its defense stats include 149 stab resistance, 181 slash resistance, and 65 blunt resistance, varying with quality.
Purchasable from merchants in the Kuttenberg Region, the Milanese Cuirass Armor is a solid choice for defense. Though it's on the heavier side, it's worth considering if you can manage your inventory effectively. The armor provides 392 stab resistance, 286 slash resistance, and 100 blunt resistance, depending on quality.
Exclusive to those who pre-ordered the game, the Brunswick Armor is obtained by completing the "Lion's Crest" side quest. It's noteworthy for its early availability, making it a valuable asset for early quests before you've leveled up significantly. The full set offers impressive stats with 704 stab resistance, 567 slash resistance, and 239 blunt resistance.
The Cutpurse Armor, available through Twitch drops, is ideal for stealth. If you missed the drops, you'll need to wait for potential future events to acquire it. When worn, it provides 24 stab resistance, 53 slash resistance, and 54 blunt resistance.
In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the best armor strategy involves mixing and matching pieces to suit your build's needs. Full sets might look good in cutscenes, but they don't offer combat advantages. Balancing armor with the best weapons can help you navigate the game's challenges effectively, whether you prefer stealth or direct combat.
