In *Marvel Rivals*, you can enjoy all the heroes for free, but if you want to elevate your style and stand out from the crowd, you can unlock unique cosmetics. Here’s a guide on how to achieve Lord proficiency in *Marvel Rivals* and unlock the coveted Lord icons that come with it.
Each character in *Marvel Rivals* offers unique cosmetics that you can unlock by playing and excelling with them. To start, navigate to the hero gallery from the main menu and select any character’s Hero Profile. Within the Hero Profile, find the Proficiency tab to check your current proficiency level with that character and the rewards you can earn as you progress.
Advancing through the proficiency levels requires substantial playtime with your chosen character. Additional objectives include securing final hits, activating specific abilities, and dealing damage. There are five proficiency levels you can achieve:
As you climb these ranks, you’ll unlock various cosmetic rewards such as sprays, KO prompts, and avatars.
Reaching Lord proficiency for any character automatically unlocks the Lord icons or avatars. While it may take some time, it's entirely achievable to unlock Lord icons for several characters in *Marvel Rivals*.
Once you hit Lord proficiency, you’ll receive a new avatar that you can equip on your profile. This avatar doesn’t affect gameplay but serves as a stylish badge of honor, showcasing to other players your dedication and time spent mastering a specific character.
That’s the complete guide on how to achieve Lord proficiency in *Marvel Rivals*. For more tips and insights on the game, including how the Competitive rank reset works and what SVP means, make sure to visit The Escapist.
