Snapchat's 2024 Snap Recap: A Year in Review
Snapchat has introduced a new feature for 2024: Snap Recap. Unlike data-heavy year-end summaries from other platforms, Snap Recap offers a curated visual journey through your year on Snapchat. It selects a single Snap from each month, creating a fun, albeit potentially embarrassing, highlight reel of your 2024.
Accessing Your Snap Recap
Finding your Snap Recap is straightforward. On the main camera screen, swipe up to access Memories. You'll find your 2024 Snap Recap prominently displayed as a highlighted video.
Tap the video (avoiding the share icon) to view your personalized recap. The slideshow automatically advances, showcasing your chosen Snaps. You can tap the screen to navigate more quickly. Like any other Snap, you can save, edit, share, or add it to your Story.
Missing Your Recap?
If your Snap Recap isn't yet available, don't panic. Snapchat confirms a staggered rollout, and your recap might simply be delayed. The number of saved Snaps is a factor in whether a recap is generated; infrequent Snapchat usage may result in no recap being created. Unfortunately, requesting a recap is not currently possible.
