PainterSVG

A free, dedicated painter app for Scalable Vector Graphics editing.

SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics) is a W3C-standard format for vector-based images. Unlike bitmap images composed of a fixed grid of pixels, vector graphics define shapes using mathematical descriptions. An SVG file contains a collection of these defined shapes. Its key advantage is scalability—enlarging an SVG image does not result in any loss of detail or clarity.

PainterSVG is a dedicated editor for creating and modifying SVG images. It offers a robust set of features including:

- Create and edit basic shapes such as lines, circles, and rectangles

- Create and edit vector paths with support for straight, cubic, and quadratic Bezier curves; easily manipulate stop and control points by dragging

- Simple controls to define stroke and fill properties for all shapes and paths

- Fill options include solid colors, linear gradients, and radial gradients for any element

- Intuitive selection, multi-selection, dragging to move, resize, and rotate objects

- Easy zoom in and zoom out functionality

- Quickly group elements together or ungroup them

- Full support for reading from and writing to external SVG files

- Export your work to PNG files (with transparent background) or JPG files (with a white background)

Additional features are currently in active development and will be released soon.
