Fortnite Adds Darth Jar Jar, Star Wars Battle Pass in Galactic Season

Fortnite is set to ignite its next season with an epic Star Wars theme, aptly named "Galactic Battle," launching on May 2, 2025. This season promises an immersive experience with a Star Wars-themed Battle Pass and an expansive five-part saga brimming with thrilling surprises. One of the most talked-about additions is the unexpected yet exciting arrival of Darth Jar Jar to the Battle Royale mode.

This news was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration, where attendees were also treated to a sneak peek of other Star Wars-themed elements coming to Fortnite. Among these is the introduction of Force Lightning as an in-game ability, adding a new layer of strategy and excitement to the gameplay.

The Galactic Battle season will not only feature Darth Jar Jar but also include Emperor Palpatine and unique mashups like the Wookiee Cuddle Team Leader in the Battle Pass. Players can look forward to new Item Shop offerings, including the iconic Mace Windu, as well as the opportunity to pilot and co-pilot X-Wings and TIE Fighters. Themed map locations will further enhance the Star Wars experience within Fortnite.

The season's storyline unfolds weekly with different overarching themes, starting with:

• Imperial Takeover – May 2, 2025
• The Pull of the Force – May 8, 2025
• Mandalorian Rising – May 22, 2025
• Star Destroyer Bombardment – May 29, 2025
• Death Star Sabotage – June 7, 2025

This saga will culminate in an in-game narrative live event, promising an experience where players feel as though they hold the fate of the entire galaxy in their hands.
