Word Search Ultimate

Discover the market's most adaptable word search application.

Experience unparalleled flexibility with this word search app. Numerous configuration settings allow you to tailor each game precisely to your device and skill level.

Search for words in English or choose to play in one of 35 other available languages.

Engineered for enjoyable gameplay on all devices, from the most compact mobile phones to the largest tablets.

Tired of encountering the same words over and over? Annoyed by searching for obscure, non-English terms? Frustrated by ill-fitting grids that are hard to read? Word Search Ultimate addresses all these common pain points.

You have full control to configure:

1) Grid Dimensions

Precisely set the number of columns and rows (from 3 to 20). You can even create non-square grids (e.g., 12x15).

2) Gameplay Complexity

Define the approximate percentage of words placed diagonally, backwards, or vertically (e.g., you can disable diagonal and backward words entirely).

3) Vocabulary Difficulty

Select the dictionary size for word generation, ranging from the 500 most common words (ideal for language learners) up to 80,000 words.

4) Maximum Word Count

Set the upper limit of words to find per game, from 1 to 150—enough to fully populate a 20x20 grid.

5) Word Length Range

Set minimum and maximum word lengths. This avoids the clutter of too many short words (a frequent issue in word games) and allows for specific challenges (e.g., setting both min and max length to three).

6) Highlighting Options

Choose to highlight found words or keep the grid clean and unmarked for optimal readability.

7) Word List Layout

Arrange the word list in columns or have it spread evenly across your screen.

8) Language Selection

Pick the language for your word list from a wide selection of downloadable dictionaries. Currently, 36 languages are supported (see full list below).

9) Screen Orientation

Play seamlessly in portrait or landscape mode. The display adapts automatically when you rotate your device.

10) Word Categories

Select words from various themed categories, such as animals, food, and more.

This app empowers you with ultimate control to play the game exactly your way.

Every game is rated with a difficulty level from 0 (easiest) to 9 (very hard), based on your settings or the difficulty selector. High scores (based on fastest completion time) are tracked separately for each level, with the top 20 scores displayed per difficulty.

Additional exclusive features include:

1) Dual word-selection methods: (i) the classic swipe gesture, or (ii) tap the first and last letter of the word on the grid.

2) In-game assistance if you're stuck: reveal a single word you cannot find.

3) View definitions for words via an online dictionary (requires an internet connection).

4) When playing with a foreign language word list, definitions (where available) will appear in your device's language—perfect for language learning!
