What keeps drawing me back to the 151 set is its ability to go beyond mere nostalgia. The card art here is exceptional, far surpassing the typical shiny-on-blank-background style. Take the Illustration Rare Bulbasaur, for instance. It's nestled in a jungle of giant leaves, reminiscent of a scene from a Ghibli film, and it's beautifully executed. Then there's Alakazam ex, depicted as if it's pursuing a psychic PhD amidst a cluttered study. It's quirky and charming in equal measure.

Not every card is a home run. Zapdos ex, for example, is decent but not something you'd frame or build a deck around. However, the overall quality remains high.
