The prestigious Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards—considered the Oscars of comics—has revealed its 2025 nominees celebrating the finest comic book work published last year.
Fantagraphics leads with 24 nominations plus one shared honor, followed closely by DC Comics with 10 nominations and nine shared credits. Wonder Woman writer Tom King dominates creator nominations with four nods, while several others earned three nominations each.
Former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito gained recognition with Sean Von Gorman's The Pedestrian competing for Best New Series against titles like Absolute Batman and The Power Fantasy.
Winners will be announced July 25 during San Diego Comic-Con's award ceremony at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel.
The awards continue recognizing excellence across comic book adaptations, international works, archival projects, and digital/web comics.
