While Airi might not be the most dazzling character in *Blue Archive*, her unique support abilities make her a valuable asset in specific scenarios. In this RPG, she stands out for her capacity to manipulate attack speeds, offering both buffs and debuffs that can be crucial for controlling the pace of battle rather than just dealing raw damage. Although she may not be a common pick for general play, Airi shines in particular late-game raids such as ShiroKuro (Insane), where her skills can effectively manage boss mechanics.
However, Airi isn't essential for newer players or overall game progression. Her EX Skill, which comes with a high cost and situational utility, often underperforms in scenarios where enemies are in cover or immobile. Yet, for seasoned players aiming to fine-tune their strategies in endgame raids, Airi can be a valuable addition when deployed strategically.
Airi's toolkit is centered around controlling the speed of combat. Her Sub Skill passively increases the Attack Speed of all allies, while her Basic Skill frequently reduces the Attack Speed of a single enemy. This combination can subtly shift the dynamics of a battle, particularly in content where timing and delaying enemy attacks are key.
When building Airi, focus on her survivability and consistent presence on the battlefield rather than maximizing her damage output.
In combat, Airi operates mostly passively. Her Sub and Basic Skills trigger automatically, requiring minimal management from the player. This makes her an effortless addition to your support lineup when her abilities are needed.
If you decide to use her EX Skill, aim to activate it when enemies are navigating through narrow passages or are grouped up. The slowing effect can hinder their ability to reposition or attack quickly. Specifically in ShiroKuro, her skills can be leveraged to alter boss attack patterns and boost your team's damage during phase 2.
Outside of this niche application, however, Airi's EX Skill may not justify the expenditure of 5 SP, given its limited crowd control effect.
Airi isn't a go-to character for most players, but she has her niche. Her utility becomes evident in specialized late-game content like ShiroKuro (Insane), where her abilities can make a significant difference if used at the right moments. For other scenarios, she remains a specialized support unit, best reserved for when her unique strengths are advantageous.
When incorporating Airi into your team, prioritize her Sub Skill and integrate her into formations that benefit from speed manipulation. To enhance your gameplay experience and better manage her skill timings and raid strategies, consider playing *Blue Archive* on PC with BlueStacks for smoother controls and superior performance.
