The newest Apple Watch has just hit its lowest price ever, making it the perfect time to buy one ahead of Mother's Day on May 11. You can grab the 42mm Apple Watch Series 10 for only $299, which is a 25% discount off its original $399 price. If you prefer a larger size, the 46mm model is available for $329, a 23% reduction from its $429 list price. If you're an iPhone user, the Apple Watch stands out as the premier smartwatch choice. It's not only stylish and well-built but also excels in both fitness tracking and smartwatch functionalities, seamlessly integrating with your iPhone.
The Apple Watch Series 10 represents the latest mainstream model, with the Series 11 not expected until September. It offers several enhancements over the Series 9, including a larger OLED Retina display, a new S10 processor that's thinner for a sleeker watch profile, a slightly larger base model size (42mm vs. 41mm), and new features like a water depth gauge. While these upgrades may not justify an immediate upgrade from the Series 9, the Series 10 is an excellent choice for first-time Apple Watch buyers.
When compared to the Apple Watch SE, the Series 10 offers a larger size (42mm vs. 40mm), a bigger display with Always-On functionality, a 30% more powerful processor, double the storage, advanced fitness and body monitoring sensors, double-tap gesture support, and faster charging. Although the Apple Watch SE is more budget-friendly at $199 on Amazon, the Series 10's enhancements make it a better value for most users.
While it is technically possible to pair an Apple Watch with an Android phone, we strongly advise against it. Many of the Apple Watch's core functionalities are designed to work with iOS devices. Although there are workarounds for some features, the effort required often outweighs the benefits. If you're set on owning an Apple Watch, consider getting an iPhone as well. For Android users, there are numerous smartwatches designed specifically for your device, offering a better experience.
If an Apple Watch is too tech-savvy for your mom, consider other Apple products currently on sale that might suit her better.
