Assassin's Creed Shadows Art Book Leaks on a Hentai Site, of All Places

by Emery Mar 14,2025

Online chatter is abuzz with new details about the upcoming Assassin's Creed Shadows, thanks to a leaked artbook that's surfaced in some…unexpected places, including a hentai website.

The "Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows" artbook, spotted on r/GamingLeaksAndRumours, is making waves across the internet. It boasts hundreds of pages of concept art, quotes, and development information about the next Assassin's Creed title. The leak's origin is as intriguing as its content, reportedly stemming from a site known for hosting adult material. Ubisoft has been contacted by IGN for comment.

While the original source has removed the gallery, it has been archived elsewhere.

The leaked art reveals intriguing glimpses into the game, including concepts for famous historical figures, major cities, and weaponry. The artwork also seemingly reveals potential plot spoilers for Assassin's Creed Shadows, though confirmation will have to wait until the game's release. However, the images appear authentic.

This leak comes just before Assassin's Creed Shadows' launch on March 20, 2025, following a delay from its original 2024 release window.

At a recent preview event, IGN spoke with Assassin's Creed Shadows game director Charles Benoit. He confirmed the delay was primarily for polishing and didn't involve major system changes. While some progression elements and balancing were tweaked, the parkour system received the most attention, encountering unique challenges presented by the setting of Feudal Japan.

"The Japanese architecture, the roofs [are] super complex," Benoit explained. "Probably the most complex thing that I ever worked with if we compared to Odyssey and Syndicate. We needed specific codes and specific animations to support something super fluid, changing the transition of the parkour to make it even more fluid. So that's one of the specific feedback that we heard that we wanted to address, and it really improved since the last few months."
