Unlocking a Secret Romance in Baldur's Gate 3: Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress

Many players are familiar with Baldur's Gate 3's prominent romance options, but some hidden encounters easily go unnoticed. This guide focuses on a unique and brief romance with Naoise Nallinto, found at Sharess' Caress. This encounter is easily missed due to its timing within a busy part of the game.

Locating Naoise Nallinto

  1. Reach Act III: Progress your game to the early stages of Act III. You'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing on your journey to Baldur's Gate. Your first visit to Wyrm's Crossing necessitates meeting Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a brothel situated east of the Baldur's Gate bridge.

  2. Utilize Fast Travel (Optional): If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the "South Span of Wyrm's Crossing" fast travel point for direct access to Sharess' Caress.

  3. Find the Nymph's Grotto: On the second floor, beyond the exterior door (marked by a green light and ivy), lies the Nymph's Grotto. This door is locked but easily pickable with a lockpicking skill check of 10 or higher.

Romancing Naoise Nallinto

  1. Interact with Naoise: Inside the Grotto, approach Naoise and Jara (a Flaming Heart soldier). Interrupting their intimate moment will trigger a confrontation. Select dialogue options carefully; choosing "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken" is one effective approach.

  2. Defeat the Mindflayer: Jara will transform into a Mindflayer. Defeat her to proceed.

  3. Engage Naoise: Naoise will express her attraction to Mindflayers. Avoid judgmental responses; instead, try options like "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset." A successful Insight check reveals her receptiveness to romance.

  1. The Romantic Encounter: Options like "What did you have in mind?" followed by "Close your eyes and listen" lead to a unique mental romance scene. Naoise will ask you to choose what you will be (Revered, Contented, Powerful, Rich, or to end the encounter). The choice influences the scene.

  2. The Aftermath: This romance is singular; subsequent visits will not yield further romantic interactions. The "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point is awarded. The encounter grants the "Rapture" boon, providing a passive 1d6 bonus to various ability checks. Note that this encounter doesn't appear to affect existing relationships with other companions.

This unique encounter offers a brief but memorable experience within the rich tapestry of Baldur's Gate 3's narrative.
