Jack Quaid, known for his role in *The Boys*, has expressed a strong desire to star in a *BioShock* movie, citing the iconic first-person shooter as one of his all-time favorite games. During a Reddit AMA coinciding with the release of his new film, *Novocaine*, Quaid emphasized the depth of *BioShock*'s lore, suggesting it could be brilliantly adapted for television or film.

"I would actually love to be in a live-action adaptation of *BioShock* - one of my favorite games of all time," Quaid shared. "I think there's such a rich lore to that game that could be explored in a TV or movie adaptation."

Despite the enthusiasm surrounding a potential *BioShock* movie, its realization remains uncertain. Last July, producer Roy Lee indicated that the project had undergone significant changes, aiming for a more personal narrative due to budget adjustments from Netflix. The plot details remain under wraps, and it's unclear what the original vision for the film might have been. Notably, *Hunger Games* director Francis Lawrence remains attached to direct the project.

"The new regime has lowered the budgets," Lee mentioned at the time. "So we’re doing a much smaller version. It’s going to be a more personal point of view, as opposed to a grander, big project."

Quaid's interest in *BioShock* is accompanied by his striking resemblance to the video game protagonist Max Payne, whose likeness is based on Remedy writer Sam Lake. This similarity has led fans to draw connections between Quaid’s new action movie *Novocaine* and the Max Payne series, with some even mistaking *Novocaine* for a Max Payne film.

"I've seen people say that I look like Max Payne, and when I've looked at the box art, even I did a double-take," Quaid admitted. "I love Rockstar's games, but unfortunately I've never played that one - it's next on the list, for sure."

Beyond *BioShock*, Quaid is an avid fan of FromSoftware's challenging games. In the same Reddit AMA, he discussed his passion for titles like *Bloodborne* and *Elden Ring*, highlighting his dedication to mastering these notoriously difficult games.

"I'm a huge video game nerd," he said. "And lately I've been diving headfirst into the FromSoftware library. I beat *Bloodborne*, then I beat *Sekiro*, and now I'm going full boar into *Elden Ring*. Actually, the thing I use Reddit the most for is tips and tricks on beating Fromsoft's bosses. I love how challenging the games are - it took me a while to get into them, but now I'm obsessed."
