BrownDust2 Latest Update: Onsen Training and Exciting New Story

Neowiz and Gamfs N have released the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed "Onsen Training," this update brings a fiery new adventure to the game.

The Onsen Training event transports players to a Japanese winter hot spring, where sword-fighting battles and unique BrownDust2 challenges await, with a dash of mischievous monkey business thrown in for good measure.

Onsen Training: A New BrownDust2 Experience

This update introduces three new characters: Ventana, the event's protagonist, and Liberta, both available via the pickup draw; and Blade, exclusive to the event's narrative.

The Onsen Training story unfolds within the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden's Gate, featuring 30 battles across 15 normal and 15 challenge modes. The adventure begins with Ventana's quest to regain her honor after a defeat. Her training at a snowy mountain hot spring is disrupted by playful, yet troublesome, Snowy Mountain Monkeys. Rescued by Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate, Ventana's training request is initially refused, but Liberta, the hot spring manager, steps in to help.

A New Mini-Game: Onsen Tile Tactics

This time-limited tile-clearing mini-game adds another layer to the event. The story is divided into phases: Legendary Graduate (week one), culminating in Beyond Legend (week three). Players will face returning and new bosses, including the returning Giant Rou and the new Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a powerful monkey whose strength increases when targeting enemies with DoT effects. The Guild Raid boss, Rucersingha, also makes its debut, posing a significant challenge.

New gear and costumes are also up for grabs. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, available until February 13th.
