Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a firm warning against cheating and the use of external tools, which could compromise the integrity of these competitive quests.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This clear policy aims to maintain a level playing field for all participants.
Capcom further emphasized that players who join multiplayer hunts with cheaters may also face consequences. Not only could their quest completion times be invalidated, but their "right to rewards" could be revoked for everyone in the party. The company urged players to be vigilant and avoid playing with those engaging in or suspected of prohibited activities, and to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be distributed to all participants, while others will be based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This system underscores Capcom's commitment to ensuring fair competition and rewarding genuine skill and effort.
These Time-Based Competition Quests will be available through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can access after completing a special tutorial mission. With the launch of Title Update 1 tomorrow, players are encouraged to head straight to the Grand Hub to unlock these exciting new challenges.
